Should Fake Online Reviews Be Regulated?

What’s your opinion on Google Reviews? Same with Yelp and other sites that accept reviews of local businesses. At Nevada Website Design, it seems there have been some fraudulent or fake reviews. Our opinion is there should be a way to verify the author of a review to determine if the author is a real person, an actual customer without having to go through hoops of fire to get to the root of the problem of fake or fraudulent reviews. Bad reviews from actual customers can be replied to, but the fake ones are really difficult to get rid of. What do you think?
